LLCs are our recommended choice of entity for the following reasons: The Process of filing an LLC begins with choosing your business name, the first step of which is checking for name availabity. If you find that the name you want is available, you can choose to then reserve it, but reservation is not completely necessary, and you probably can avoid paying to reserve if you file your articles of organization sooner rather than later. We would only recommend paying to reserve your name if you know that you will be waiting a significant period of time before you file your articles. After you reserve your name the next step is to fill out and file your articles of organiation with the corporation commission. Also you will need to make sure that you have a good operating agreement, we highly recommend that you have a strong operating agreement, it may not seem important in the beginning but as your business grows it will be very important- do not overlook this document!
